A New Season of Faith and Hope at Cottle First Church of God

There are moments in the life of a church when you sense something new and powerful stirring among the people. At Cottle First Church of God, this feels like one of those moments. With a heart full of gratitude and a clear sense of purpose, I step into the role of Pastor, eager to serve this community and witness the fresh work God will do in our midst.

The church has never been just a building or a routine. It is a living community of ordinary people who gather in faith, support one another, and share the love of Christ in their daily lives. This has always been true for Cottle First Church of God, and by God’s grace, it will continue to be so.

The Heart of Our Church

At its core, the church is about people. People who come together to worship, pray, and carry each other’s burdens. It is a place where faith grows through shared experiences and where love is shown through action. This community has a rich history of living out these truths, and that foundation gives us strength as we enter this new season.

Our goal is to create space for God to move freely among us. This means making room for worship that touches the heart, prayer that brings healing, and truth that sets us free. It means welcoming everyone—those who have been part of the church for years and those who are searching or hurting.

Making Room for God’s Work

To experience God’s fresh work, we must intentionally make room in several key areas:

• Worship: Creating moments where hearts connect deeply with God through music, prayer, and reflection.

• Prayer: Encouraging a culture of ongoing prayer, both individually and as a community.

• Healing: Offering support and care for those facing physical, emotional, or spiritual challenges.

• Truth: Preaching the Word of God faithfully and clearly, helping people understand and live out biblical teachings.

• Grace: Extending kindness and forgiveness freely, reflecting the love Christ shows us.

  
  

This openness invites the Holy Spirit to move powerfully among us, transforming lives and renewing our church.
